Reviews
This review is based off of one visit to the Amphitheater in June. It has an interesting layout situated on a city block. There wasn’t much signage to tell folks where to go and that made it feel chaotic. We had moved from line to line. There were a bunch of employees holding signs who were helpful in answering questions. It didn’t help that it was bad weather because the venue will not let anyone in until the thunder and lightning had passed. (Bring a poncho)! We struggled to find the will call window but once we did, everyone was gracious and helpful. Once inside, the beer line moved quickly (although keep in mind 2 beers were $30+plus tip), and the staff were quick and knowledgeable. We had the chicken tenders and fries and they were both delicious. The bathrooms were nicer than I’ve seen at similar venues. There was candy in the restroom! The theater itself is a magnificent marvel to see! I was in the 100 section and had a great view of the stage. The acoustics were great. The design of the theater is an aesthetic architectural delight. The elevated boxes draw your eye up to the skyline. It is a unique design for sure. When it comes to concerts, sometimes getting out can be stressful. We had no problem leaving the concert as it had an easy flow towards the exit. The staff thanked us for coming as we were leaving, and that was the ultimate in the Maine Savings Amphitheater experience for me. You can tell that the folks who work here take pride in their venue. What a great New England concert venue! Although it was a 5 hour drive from RI, I would definitely make the trip again to see a show.
Loved the concert! BUT ABOUT THE VENUE...Food and beverage were a bit expensive. Concert go-ers... some were nice some just wanted to start issues. The bathrooms were clean. The ushers were nice, and the food service employees and I'd checkers were anything but nice. Seats are like airplane seats and super close together. So, for as fancy as it looks it could be WAYYY BETTER.
The venue has done many upgrades in the last few years. I wish they would have done step downs for the seats, instead of the grade. It's hard to see anything when everyone is standing in front of you. But the bathroom upgrades are great. There are plenty of places to get food.
It's a nice amphitheater. The 300 seats are kind of terrible, really close together, and a very small slant, so you're looking at someone's head unless you're tall. The lawn area is much better. Pit area is great if you can afford it. It used to be the pit was general admission, so the really passionate fans could work their way to the front. Now it's the premium tickets.
Hard to review. We were there for a concert. Everything seemed to be ran smoothly. I guess it just bothered me that the smoking police came to me twice about my Vuse but never said anything to the ones all around us smoking weed. Hell, the musicians were openly telling everyone to smoke their weed and smoking it on stage but take one puff of your Vuse and the world ends.
Great stadium. Lots of concessions that were unfortunately extremely overpriced, but the view during sunset was gorgeous and we could hear the bands, even from very far away.
I have been coming to concerts here for 5 or so years now and the new upgrades to this venue have been great. Looks nice and is kept clean.. However.. The price of drinks are outrageous and the seating is incredibly cramped with only a slight "slope" so you're going to see the back of someone's head more. I was impressed w/the staffing now and I appreciate them taking charge more. I pay good money to be only a few rows back from the stage and happy to see that they keep people in line and keep people that didn't pay the extra $$$ away from bombarding the stage. I'll keep coming back because do enjoy this place, but please lower drink prices and $9 for a cup of water is insanity.. And spacing the seating out maybe just a little bit wouldn't hurt either.. But thank you guys' for getting an array of artists that everyone can enjoy.
Wow. Great place to see a show! Loved the convenience of grab and go drink coolers (no more trying to yell over loud music what kind of drink you want). The bathrooms were large and convenient. Our view from section 203 was great and the sound was excellent. Hope they get some more good shows here. We'll definitely come here again.
